A member asked:

Had my first pap smear on 3/20/17 and my groin has pain still as of 4/7/17. is it a pulled groin muscle, as when she did the exam it hurt a lot. ?

Switch doctor: Regardless of your age and of your Gyn, sexual or obstetrical history...you should expect your Gyn exam, speculum exam or Pap test to be done skillfully and to cause you no pain. Since you felt that "when she did exam it hurt a lot", it would be wise to "switch" and to seek a more caring and more experienced clinician (doctor, Gyn, nurse-practitioner...) to check on your groin pain.
