Conservative : Treatments. You are very young to be taking hydrocodone, i suggest you to wean off asap. Treatments like nsaids if not medically contraindicated, home exercise, physical therapy. If you smoke, stop; weight management will help significantly alleviate some pain. Injections is not indicated for a bulged disc.... And check with your pcp to rule out any non-spinal causes of back pain. Good luck.

Muscle conditioning: Steroid injections would not help - unless you have nerve inflammation/compression. Most important for scoliosis in a young patient is to maintain your para-spinal muscle health and strength. Isometric - push and hold - exercises (swimming, stationary bike, yoga, rowing machine) and weight control are important.
