A member asked:

Can staph infected boils be deep in the skin where you can't see them but only feel them? will you always be able to visibly see boils on the skin?

Not staph: A lump under the skin, not breaking through to the surface, almost certainly is not a boil or any other kind of staph infection. See your doctor if the lump persists or you otherwise remain concerned, but no worries about staph.
