My p.t. said chondromalacia can cause knee giving way feeling, happens sometimes. when do i know its safe to wear heels? will i ever be able to wear?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

When less pain: Wear heels when your knee has been minimally painful for several consecutive weeks and it feels stable (no giving out or buckling). Consider shoes with smaller heels and possibly more of a wedge instead of true "high heel." Also, wear heels in short segments and when you don't have to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time, especially on uneven surfaces.
