See doctor: Stress fractures or reactions occur when the amount of stress you put on a bone exceeds your body's ability to keep up with it. Signs are pain on weight bearing and use, swelling and point tenderness. Intial xrays may be negative upto several weeks after it strats. Bone scans are positive after 2-4 days and MRI is best test to diagnose quickly as well as rule out other causes of pain.
