Usually not: Treatment depends on whether causing any pain or movement problems. In some cases physical therapy may help this but not reduce the angle. If it isn't causing problems no treatment is compulsory

The normal carrying: angle is about 15 degrees. Almost everyone has this. An angle of 18 degrees is just a tiny bit more than normal. Unless you have some other condition that affects your joints, it has no medical significance. Do not even consider surgery. If you have pain or other problems, these can be addressed with physical therapy and functional adaptation. I'm glad you submitted this question. Dr. Anne
