Hold on a minute.: The nail on the little toe, because of it's precarious location, can often times thicken and become discolored. This does not necessarily mean that the nail has a fungal infection. It could be due to damage of the nail growth plate that is commonly disturbed by stubbing the toe or even chronic shoe pressure. To differentiate between the possibilities, have your nail examined by a specialist.
