Unlikely But...: Unlikely to cause structural changes but having pain for 4 months after the procedure might necessitate a review by the doctor to rule out injuries of the rectum or anal region

Not typically: We're there biopsies done? . A small focal perforation might cause. Chronic abscess that could give you ongoing pain. See your doctor. A CT scan should be able to rule out most complications.
