Deep breathe & cough: Most common for low grade temperature a few days after surgery is atelectasis. You need to take frequent deep inhalations and cough to open the lungs up. The second common cause of low grade temp is dehydration. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids throughout the day. Both these measures ensure a smoother post op recovery.
