Irregular pulse: You need to see a cardiologist to get an idea of what your rapid irregular pulse is due to. It may be the onset of some hyperthyroidism or it may be some episodes of atrial fibrillation. A cardiologist will take some blood and order a holter monitor to assess your cardiac rhythm to see if what you have is serious and what sort of treatment, if any, is needed.
