Common problem: You're not alone! Irregular heart beat occurs in everyone sometimes, in normal hearts, & doesn't, by itself, mean you have heart disease. Try to avoid nicotine, caffeine, and alcohol. Get extra rest and, if possible, avoid stressful situations. If it doesn't settle down in a week, it would be helpful to record your rhythm for 24 hours, get an echocardiogram and labwork for potassium & magnesium.

See you doctor: Heart palpitations are often benign but evaluating them is typically straightforward. Check you diet to be sure you're not triggering these symptoms with caffeine (chocolates, sodas, tea, coffee, etc.), for example. The frequency of your symptoms suggest that a heart monitor may be helpful to rule out an irregular heart rhythm. See you doctor soon! If new or progressive symptoms, go to the ER!
