Can colonoscopy cause diverticulosis? i had no signs of it prior. er after with persistent pain. ct shows mild diverticulosis. still pain months after

Diverticulosis: Diverticulosis can be there for a long time and do not cause symptoms. Most do not "show signs of it."
Where is your persistent pain? and how many months after the colonoscopy? What else did they find on colonoscopy? And why was the colonoscopy done in the first place? I would look for what else is going on.
Not saying colonoscopy is risks free, but diverticulosis is not one of my top suspects.
