I have diverticulosis diagnosed by ct and colonoscopy. this is my 3rd attack this year. just wondering when surgical intervention is advisable?

There's no set time: In the old days it used to be 3 attacks and surgery was indicated. Now we tend to rely on the severity of attacks, complications associated with attacks, is there a complete resolution of diverticulitis after each episode. You should discuss this with your primary physician as well as a surgeon.
