Hard to say: Strep titers in adults can be up without rheumatic fever. It just reflects a relatively recent strep illness, not strep as the cause of your other symptoms. Rheumatic fever still occurs, mostly in the underdeveloped world and it has a defined collection of symptoms. Discuss your concerns with the doc who ordered the testing.Having your history & exam helps define the answer.

Rheumatoid Arthritis: There is a huge difference, despite the similar names, between Rheumatic Fever and Rheumatoid Arthritis. It sounds like you have tested positive for Rheumatoid Arthritis. It won't kill you and it is treatable.
