Gynecomastia: Your description of your aerola and nipples are suggestive of gynecomastia. Follow up with a doctor to confirm diagnosis and cause for extra breast tissue development.

Self dx .... really?: About 1/3 to 1/2 of all males will go through transient nipple &/or breast gland enlargement in puberty & that usually fades in 6m-1yr. Carrying extra weight can exaggerate the process. If it persists after 3 y a cosmetic surgeon may need to remove the excess tissue. You can decide to call it what you want, but we call it gynecomastia.
