Extra protection: Getting an extra dose should increase his antibodies and give him extra protection to ward off those nasty germs that cause tetanus, diphtheria, and whooping cough. His next dose should still be after his 4th birthday.

Went for my Tetanus booster at 10 years. Was given Dtap instead of Tdap for my booster. 4 weeks later developed transverse myelitis symptoms. Idiopathic as of right now. But, could it have been the vaccine? Is it ok that I was given Dtap instead?
