How can i treat a cold on a 1 month old? what can i do to make her feel better, besides bonding with her after i breastfeed her?

What a great mother!: Babies who cannot breathe through the nose are very irritable. Twice a day moisten the nasal secretions with moisturizing nose drops like "Ayr" and very gently suction the material. Keep her close to you with a sling or other method to hold her close. Gentle massage can distract her from her discomfort as can skin to skin contact and your responses to her needs. Drink lots of fluids

Cold ? doubt it: The first months are troubled by narrow nasal passages & exposure to dust, fragrences, smoke & other irritants.Baby nose tries to flush these with mucous but this often ends as congestion & produces rattling with breathing. The best rx is washing out the nose with saline & suctioning the remainder. Eliminate irritants from babies environment & this will happen less.
