Bruise: You may have sustained a bruise without realizing it and it has now formed a hematoma which is a collection of blood. This can sometimes get infected as well so it's a good idea to get it checked with your doctor if it persists

Watch + wait: If this is a bruise (which it does sound like) then you should expect it to gradually resolve over the next 1-2 weeks. If it is still present after that time then you should have it examined as the range of other possibilities is very wide. If it its a bruise you may also notice that it is slightly tender if you touch it.

Bruise : It's possible that the tiny bump may have been the site of a localized irritation that you may have picked or tried to pop. By mechanically disrupting the skin to eliminate it, an underlying blood vessel (capillary) may have ruptured causing a bruise, in which the escaped blood undergoes color changes as its reabsorbed. The discoloration should resolve in a couple of weeks. If not, see an Eye MD.
