Get checked : Might have knocked it however 5 days out would be a high risk time to be developing an infection so safest to get it examined by a doctor

No: I am not the surgeon and it is possible that the repair broke down. I would revisit the surgeon and have him examine you again and he may have to re-operate. So sorry!
