No risk, no worries: Probably you have had your oral HSV1 infection a long time, even though you've only had your first outbreak. Half of all adults have oral HSV1. Oral HSV1 is not likely to ever infect your genital area; you are immune to transferring it to anywhere else on your body. Having HSV1 makes you slightly less susceptible to HSV2, the usual cause of genital herpes.
