Nerve: This suggests an irritable/mildly inflamed superficial nerve in the toe. If there is no redness,swelling, tenderness, there apparently is no other ongoing pathology. Avoid tight fitting footwear to see if the nerve irritability resolves. See a podiatrist if symptoms persist or worsen.

There are quite a: few potential things that could give you your symptoms. Vascular, muscular, nervous system and psychological. None of them are potentially lethal. Make an appointment with a health care provider for evaluation if it doesn't go away in a week.
