Implantation: Implantation bleeding is much more common on the internet than in real life. It occurs rarely and exclusively in someone who is pregnant. The only way to know if someone had implantation bleeding or just irregular menstrual bleeding is to wait and see if you are pregnant. If your test is positive then this was implantation bleeding. If it is negative then it is just irregular menstrual bleeding.

Probably 2 to 3 days: Under normal circumstances, it is estimated that a healthy fertilized egg takes about 7 days to travel from the site of fertilization in the Fallopian tube into the uterine cavity. If all is going well, implantation into the endometrium (at times associated with bleeding) is believed to occur over 2 to 3 days; betaHCG. can then be detected by a sensitive blood biochemical assay soon thereafter.
