Probably not, but...: Resistance is not likely after only one day of treatment. However, the infection you are being treated for probably needs more treatment. Stomach upset from clarithro often can be prevented by taking it with food; or a different antibiotic may be prescribed. Discuss with the doctor who prescribed it. FYI, people do not become resistant to antibiotics. But partiuclar bacteria can become resistant.
