Go get seen: Short answer is: "so what if dr thinks you are 'not all there' "? Psychiatrist / psychologist job is to help persons in that situation and get them back to maximal function (or being "all there"). Shouldn't be excessively sad or hearing voices, and dr-s / medications can help you. Get seen & helped.

Do not be afraid: Don't be afraid. You are talking to doctors right now, and we do not think "you are not all there." getting the proper help by speaking to a professional about your sadness and voices is important and that is what psychiatrists have trained for. Let them make their living. Docs want to help you, make the appt. Best wishes!

DEPRESSION: TRY TO REMEMBER THAT A DOCTOR IS NOT HERE TO JUDGE YOU! Get an evaluation from a psychiatrist to help identify what depression means to you and whatever else may be bothering you. Consider recommendations for medication if any are given. Get a referral for a reputable psychotherapist to speak with. Meds and therapy combined are most optimal; no just one or the other.
