Eustacian tubes: The tube that runs from your middle ear to the back of the throat, if obstructed by swelling due to inflammation will produce ear pain. You may want to try a decongestant or a saline irrigation of the nares with a neti-pot. Try these and if still in pain go back and see your doctor.

See your doc: If ear pain persists for several days, i'd recommend being seen again (along with the saline and nose spray already recommended).
