A member asked:

I suffering with multiple kidneys stones. can i drink grape juice. some people saying grapefruit juice that have high oxalate levels?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: It is true that "some" studies have shown an increased risk of forming kidney stones with grapefruit juice though exact mechanism unclear. ??related to higher oxalate content. General guidelines for stone prevention include moderate protein intake, low sodium/salt, low oxalate, high citrate, normal calcium, and drinking enough clear liquids to generate 70-80 oz of urine per 24 hrs.
