GERD: For the GERD heartburn, one can take OTC Omeprazole 20 mg /d or Zantac with a diet that avoids acid foods/drinks. Often H Pylori can be inherited or acquired. A simple blood test can be done to rule this in. Triple therapy (Helico kit) can be given over 3 weeks if positive. from your regular pedi MD.
