1/30 had blood wrk and my ast was 35 and alt was 38, prescribed phentermine (weight loss clinic) more blood same lab 2/10 and now ast 40 and alt 60.

Phentermine: Phentermine has not been shown to cause abnormal liver enzymes. Your repeat levels are only borderline and I would repeat them after abstaining from alcohol for a couple of weeks and not testing them if you have any evidence of infection going on. If ast and alt continue to rise, have a hepatitis panel done and /or consult a gastroenterologist or hepatologist for evaluation.

Many medication: cause small (usually reversible) elevations in liver function tests, This is , however potentially worrisome....contact the prescriber r ASAP Follow-up is necesssary
