Swollen face: There can be various causes for swollen face. This will include skin infection, boils in the area, parotid duct blockade or submandibular gland duct block, injuries, haw fracture , temporomandibular joint inflammation , tooth abscess etc. One must take medical advice and see their MD/ GP for an assessment.

Swelling: Sounds like parotid gland infection. Apply warm moist compresses , drink a lot of clear fluid, suck on lemon drops, massage area, get Rx for clindamycin
