A member asked:

Can i reduce my cac score? im a 48 year old male with a score of 125

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If the number you: provided is accurate, that's a relatively high score. However, its significance depends on other factors such as smoking, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and family history. Calcium can't be removed from the blood vessel walls and family history can't be changed. If you concentrate on the factors you can improve, you may decrease your chance of heart attack & stroke.
