NO! NO! NO!: Even though the tattoo is not near the surgical site, you are having MAJOR back surgery and the last thing you need is any possible source of infection.

Should be ok: As long as it doesn't get infected, there should not be an issue. If it did, it would likely delay your surgery. You may want to check directly with your surgeon.
