While a picture: might be best, chicken pox causes 2-3 mm elliptical, fluid-filled blisters on a patch of red, raised skin. Other viral illnesses including herpes simplex/small pox produce blisters that are 2-3 times larger. Chicken pox starts on face and scalp and moves to trunk/extremities; Coxsackie distributes mainly to hands/feet/mouth. Echovirus associated with meningitis; Rickettsialpox with mice. SEE DOC.
