Here are some...: How old is your mother and what are other medical conditions she may have other than ADPKD, for which nothing needs to be done but watching its potential complications like rare infection or bleeding cysts and avoiding additional damage to kidneys by drugs... Besides, lacking the specifics such as size, location, and anatomical relationship of "a shadow" would not help deduce what it may be. Ask..
