AAA: Generally that is not a size that would require surgery, but the rate of growth is also an important factor. You should be concerned enough to follow your doctor's follow up recommendations and treatment for underlying factors(e.g. Hypertension) that would predispose it to increase in size. Very low chance of rupture at 3.4cm, risk increases with increasing size.
