A member asked:

Husband's lower back and lateral upper right thigh appear swollen. no pain at either location. some minor swelling in leg, ankle and feet.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Swelling on one: side of the body especially involving the lower extremity is usually not a good sign. There are many things that can cause such painless swelling, including anasarca, deep venous clot (DVT), fluid retention from kidney, liver or heart disease, or local invasion of lymphatic system causing an obstruction. Go get it checked out by healthcare provider. Thanks for trusting in HealthTap.
