Pregnancy: Keep hydration up and get your stool tested. See gp so that they can assess hydration and provide electrolytes. You should be fine as long as well hydrated. Watch out for blood in stools and fevers. If that happens the immediate medical review in ed will be advised.

Not specifically: It is unlikely that the fetus is directly at risk but if you are sick this does pose a potential risk to it. An ultrasound will not change management as it is too early to see anything of value for this issue anyway. Symptomatic treatment and hydration are the best options for you. See you doctor if concerned.

Diarrhoea pregnancy : Most cases of diarrhoea in New Zealand are caused by virus . Severe diarrhoea can sometimes induce Pre term labour but it should not affect early pregnancy. Most important thing would be keep hydrated .

Generally not: Usually will be caused by a virus which affects you and not the baby as the others have said. SO main thing is to keep you well with fluids etc. Extremely rare for this sort of thing to affect the baby in any way. Key is to keep you well and if any concerns please see your GP for check
