Glad you are asking: Our healthtap providers will provide ideas for you to ask the doctor about. This is an important time for your child. Prozac (fluoxetine) is the only ssri officially "approved" for childen, but others are being used off-label. Your doctor should explain why this drug was chosen and what to expect. You druggist has hand-outs defining what to look for and when to call the doctor. Ask until you feel satisfied.
