What is best type of test done by eye doctors to test eyes of a 4 yrs old for presc glasses(by computer m, manual or stg else) he is short sighted.

Personal response: The best testing is to hope that a child of this age can recognize letters or at least numbers and read an eye chart with eyeglass testing by a pediatric ophthalmologist. There are objective ways to get an approximate number but the response of a child is the best.
