Visual acuity: Those of us in middle-age who develop need for glasses to assist in reading may have presbyopia, while hyperopia (far-sightedness) typically develops at earlier age (and also requires glasses for reading). Regardless, if you notice a film over your eyes w/o using glasses, it's time to return to your Optometrist or Ophthalmologist for further evaluation. Perhaps you're myopic (near-sighted) too?
