No: How do you know it is a cyst. If there is a swelling in one of the tonsils, it would be prudent to see your doctor to have it evaluated.

Hello, my left tonsil has had issues for years. The appendage directly below it seems to fill up with mucous like a cyst, and I must drain it to relieve pressure and to swallow normally. There are also non-visible tonsil stones behind the tonsil.
My mom had undergone a dentigral cyst (cyst under the tooth) surgery. From than onwards, her mouth is not opening to full extent. Since, it is now one month or so after surgery,is it normal? How long will it take for her mouth to open completely ?
