Abdominal pain: Abdominal pain in the left lower quadrant is not always due to diverticulitis which usually presents with nausea and vomiting and left lower quadrant pain. LLQ pain can be referred , from constipation, obstruction, volvulus, kidney stones or in women ovarian cysts or torsion and several other problems. CT scan is indicated for both RLQ and LLQ pain when severe with guarding or rebound. See MD.
