Typical scenario: Since we don't do any kind of bowel prep any more for routine CT scans, this kind of scenario is common. If the radiologist thinks the bowel looks a little too think, they will likely put in a statement like that as a hedge against potential pathology (and lawsuit). The thing is, could it be cancer? Yes, but the likelihood is low. If it was me, I would ignore it unless you develop symptoms.
