Actinic Keratosis: Many circumscribed skin lesions are benign and non pruritic with a scaling, dry or desquamating character like the one you describe on your leg. Most occur in patches including eczema, psoriasis and atopic dermatitis- all of which itch! A common solitary skin lesion that fits this description is actinic or solar keratosis caused by damage from UV radiation. 10% can become squamous cell carcinoma.
