This is somewhat a: matter of preference. Many people would elect to change the linens simply for more comfort and to "freshen up" and feel better. You surely had a fever with influenza so as far as infectivity goes, you should not be infectious 48 hours after you are fever-free. Hope you continue to feel better:)
