No it does not cause flu. If you are comfortable in heating only the room you are occupying, that is fine. Flu is caused by a virus. Get a vaccine for Flu.

Not flu, but accumulation of gas that might become toxic if room not well ventilated. It might be saving lots of money with the abrupt increase in prices.
