Dysfunction: I believe your best solution is to talk to a neurologist or nurosurgeon. Did you see someone with your intial injury.

This is not unusal: Patients who have spine issues particularly in the lumbar spine complain to me not infrequently of sexual dysfunction. I do not know the exact mechanism for this but it is likely due to pain, pain medications, and the lumbosacral nerve roots that are exposed to the inflammation from the injury and are responsible for sexual function. Many times with successful treatment, this goes away.
