You need to: have these two medicines "sorted out" by your PCP (Primary Care Provider) or Family Physician. They act on DIFFERENT receptors which are responsible for the acid reflux...ranitidine BLOCKS H-2 Receptors (where the acid effects the tissue , NEXIUM a" Proton Pump Inhibitor iePPI" block the acid secretion itself! A combination of both can deal with the vast majority of REFLUX cases! Hope this helps!
