Ambien is an Rx: for sleep. Trazodone is an old TCA prescribed not usually for depression but for its strong sedation side effect--a sleeper. The former causes more rebound than the latter, but the latter has a greater likelihood of causing a hangover in the morning. Have you tried herbs? Research Melatonin, Valerian Root. Also look at Benadryl--all three are non-Rx. Don't take them with your Rx's...
