Late onset of menses: You did not mention your age, but assuming you have had regular periods prior to this episode, pregnancy is the most common cause or severe stress for a delay in one's period onset. Get a serum pregnancy test (HCG) and see your provider if positive. This kind of bleeding may be an ectopic pregnancy, so don't delay.
