Do the test: There are some women who will skip menses for several months as their usual pattern. That said, the most common reason beyond irregularity is pregnancy. All forms of BC have risk of failure and a simple over the counter urine pregnancy test should be done to exclude that possibility. If it has been 3 mo & you are not pregnant, an OBGYN may decide to give you meds to trigger a cycle.
